Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Hotel Canoe And Suites is generally appreciated for its clean and modern rooms, many offering great mountain views; the superior rooms, in particular, are noted for this. Guests frequently mention enjoying the free bus pass for convenient access around Banff. The hotel's location, while a little outside the downtown area, is right across the street from a Roam bus stop, and Sudden Sally cafe downstairs is a highlight for many; some guests have found the hotel layout a bit confusing to navigate initially due to its multiple buildings.

i was charmed by the little details! my superior room mountain view was clean. the free bus passes really helped me get around town. the cafe downstairs, sudden sally, was also a highlight for me!!!
I encountered a few hiccups . the combination locks on the ski lockers were tricky to use. The instructions were too long. i found the hotel layout confusing because it's made up of different buildings. there were not enough signs to help me find my way around!!!

noisy fanpoor signage
The fan heating system sounded like a jet engine. It was so loud! we couldn't sleep for two nights because of this noisy fan. reception staff didn't seem to care, even after we complained. also, the hotel layout is a maze! i got lost trying to find the ski locker. It's poorly signed.

underwhelming stay

comfortable bedclosed pooldisorganized service
The bed was comfortable. That was acceptable.
The hot pools, advertised as opening in summer 2024, remained closed during my mid-september stay. this was a significant disappointment as it was a key reason for choosing this location. additionally, service at the bar felt disorganized. They struggled to fulfill basic drink orders, with limited stock and unusual glassware choices.
